| Job Description : We are looking for technically oriented game artists to assume the position of Level Designer for our Mumbai studio. The candidates should have previous experience in level design with UnrealEngine 3. Your work entails creating sets and/or open world environments for our next gen international titles. Also, If you are an active member of the modding community and you want to take you passion further, then you might want to consider this placement and a chance to participate in the development of some Highly Anticipated PC and Console titles for the worldwide market. But be prepared to work differently than you are used to. Primary Requirements: 1. Avid Gamer 2. Level Design Experience 3. Good Grasp of Unreal Engine (or any other major next gen engine experience) 4. Good understanding of form, light, and colour coordination. 5. Being able to follow Game design documents and Level design Maps. 6. Attention to Detail, Attention to Detail, Attention to Detail!!! 7. Good understanding of Nature, Maps, and Land Morphology or Interior Design. 8. Being meticulously organized in your work. 9. Outstanding troubleshooting skills. 10. Being proactive but at the same time discuss major improvements before implementing them! 11. Being a TEAM player. No superstars, no politics. Secondary Requirements: 1. Exposure to Scripting 2. Consideration of Technical Limitations. 3. Understanding of Gameplay mechanics. 4. 3dsmax or maya modeling experience and basic mapping techniques. 5. Material Creation in Unreal 6. Movie Set Design experience 7. Lighting skills 8. Interest in short movie making. 9. Interest in Photography Job Description: The following will be part of your day to day job: You will work closely with the art director and the game designers in order to give purpose to the art assets and create a memorable gaming world. You will assist in level design and make sure that it is implemented properly. You will create art packages organize your work assign and create materials to characters and/or buildings, props etc. Yes, making good games means a lot of extra love and passion placed on your task. You will be required to work beyond 8 hours in some occasions. Especially around build submissions and major milestone deliveries. You will create and test game worlds and report issues on art assets (such as 3d models and animations). You will play a lot of SSBM in late hours and get your behind kicked!!! Work Samples: YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST submit in any form (mod posted and reviewed online or physical media) at least 1 level created by you in unreal format. 3dsmax/maya level layout/blocking, Screenshots and level designs are mandatory! Your test will be to create a rich interior OR exterior scene using Unreal Engine, light it, place characters in it and at best design a quest using kismet and a basic cinematic with Matinee showcasing your level using prefabricated assets. DO NOT send original sketches we will not be able to return them. |
